On 21st August 1841, Levi HANDY and Miss Catherine McLAUGHLIN were united in wedlock at Greenock Presbyterian church, St. Andrews by Rev. Mclean. On 21st August 1891, surrounded by children and grand-children, they celebrated their golden anniversary. They had eleven children and all of them are living, the youngest being 25 years of age. Seventeen grandchildren have been born to them and one great-grandchild.
