On Tuesday 11th inst., Capt. E. BUCK, proprietor of the American House, Dorchester (West. Co.) left home for St. John for the purpose of transacting business there. Shortly after his arrioval he was arrested at the suit of G.R. BENT After several telegrams had been exchanged between parties in Dorchester and St. John he was set at liberty. Nothing further was heard of him until Friday, when his wife received a letter from him bidding her farewell forever and stating that he was on his way to France.
