The Chesepeake Affair - On Monday we were surprised to learn that two of the party had been arrested the night before in the house of Mr. WADE near Loch Lomond (St. John) who, it is said, is the father of the man WADE whose arrest in Sambro, and escape at Halifax, N.S. created such a sensation, and that they were to be brought up to the Police Office at 12 o'clock. On going to the Office we found this to be true and after some delay the two men were bro't in. Their names we found to be David COLLINS, who has been referred to in some of the papers as Lt. COLLINS and James McKINNEY. Both, it is said, belong to St. John. The warrant of the Lt. Gov. directing all Magistrates to arrest, commitment, etc. of the persons named in pursuance of the provisions of the Extradi-tion Treaty was read. It stated that it was issued on the application of J.Q. HOWARD, American Consul and on the sworn statement of Isaac WILLETTS, formerly master of the "Chesa- peake" and Daniel HENDERSON, who swore that persons named had committed piracy and murder. The persons named in the warrant are: John C. BRAINE, H.C. BROOKS, David COLLINS, John Parker LOCKE, Robert CLIFFORD, Linus SEELY, George ROBINSON, Gilbert COX, Robert COX, H.H. PARR and James McKINNEY. (see original)
