Sheffield (Sunbury Co.) July 24 - The funeral of the late W. Pritchard BARKER took place this morn. The services at the house and grave were conducted by Rev. McCullough in the absence of Rev. Austin. Mr. Barker occupied the position of Academy P.O. for many years. He was J.P. and court commissioner for the parish of Sheffield and in the discharge of his duties he was noted for his punctuality and fearless discharge of the same. He was the only brother Judge BARKER had living, who was with him from the time the case was considered dangerous until after the burial. Mr. Barker's ancestors came to Sheffield with the first settlers in 1763 and 1764 and he possessed many of the sterling characteristics of that people. Mr. Barker left a widow, two daughters and one son. His eldest daughter is Mrs. Dr. KIERSTEAD of Woodstock. His other daughter and son are at home with their mother, who is a sister of Hon. Archibald HARRISON and C.B. HARRISON of Marysville (York Co.) as well as J.& W.F. HARRISON of your city.
