d. Garland Mountain, 29th July, John GARLAND, age 75. He professed religion in 1827 in a Methodist revival and was immersed by John A. McNutt, Wesleyan Minister and not being satisfied to remain with the Wesleyan church, he joined the First Elgin Baptist Church and when the Third Elgin Church was organized he was one of the charter members where he retained his membership until his death. He left six sons, two daughters.
