The death of Mrs. Catherine BROWN on Friday removed a lady, who though aged, will be much missed by friends. She became ill with the prevailing influenza about two weeks ago. She was the widow of Hon. James BROWN who represented this county in the Legislature for several years and for eight years was Surveyor General. She leaves a family of eight children. They are William GILLESPIE, by her first husband of Moore's Mills; John C. BROWN, Wilmot BROWN, David BROWN and Gillmor BROWN, Mrs. H. MARKS, Mrs. W.H. MAXWELL and Mrs. Jno. K. McKENZIE.
