Wesley NICHOL, the Scott Act informer, on Monday testified that he was a carpenter, resided part of the time in Fredericton and part at his home in Prince William. He had been working the greater part of the last five years at J.S. Risteen's factory. Was not now in his employment. Had not been for the last two months. Two months of the last three he had been working with Mr. Lemont in his repair shop. Was not now in his employ, nor had been since the first week in January last. Had not been working since. Was not married. Stated that he formerly resided in Prince William in Pokiok Settlement. Had two brothers. His father's name was William NICHOL and his brothers names were Edmund NICHOL and DeVernot NICHOL One was 21 years of age and the other 25. His mother's maiden name was Jane MARSH. She resided in Fredericton previous to her marriage with his father. Geo. MARSH, who died a few years ago, was his uncle. Geo. Marsh's family were living in Boston. He saw them in September. George Marsh, a son, was th young man who worked in Lemont's some time ago. (see original)
