An inquest was held 10th inst. in town of Bathurst (Glouc. Co.) before John McKenna, Esq., Coroner, on view of the body of Fidelle COMMEAU, a ship carpenter and resident of that place, who drowned on morn. of 9th inst., by the upsetting and filling of a small flat on the Big Nepisiquit near the Ferry Landing. The deceased with his brother James COMMEAU and brother-in-law, Peter DERACE, went off together in a Flat for the purpose of getting some fish which they expected to find in some of the nets on the stream; before reaching which, the small frail craft owing to mismanagement filled and sank with one of the party, they being under the influence of liquor at the time. The other two were saved by the arrival of the nightly watchman in the ship yard of J.E. O'BRIEN, Esq. who heard the cry for help.
