James McCOY of Woodstock died at his home in that town on Monday last. Mr. McCoy was a native of County Monaghan, Ireland and came to this country some 48 years ago and during the whole of this period was engaged in school service. In 1846, having up to that time taught the parish school of Upper Woodstock, he was called upon to take charge of the Carleton County Grammar School which position he held up to last November when failing health compelled him to resign. The funeral took place yesterday.
