Alonzo PALMER of Hampstead (Queens Co.) was killed by a falling tree. Palmer was working in the woods for Henry DAY on the Tobique (Victoria Co). and on Thursday morn. he and another young man were at work cutting down a tree. The poor fellow was carried to the camp and the next day the team carried his remains to the Bath station (Carleton Co.) where they were placed on board the train and sent to his home in Hampstead for burial - 'Gleaner' (see original)
