On Lord's Day, March 26th, Mrs. Elizabeth CRANDALL wife of Rev. David CRANDALL of Springfield (Kings Co.) N.B. entered into rest age 89 years. She was a twin sister of Deacon Robert HOPPER of Salisbury (West. Co.) Their parents came from Hamilton, Yorkshire, England. They were christened by the Church of England minister and named Robert and Elizabeth after the parson and his wife. In the great revival that followed the return of Father Crandall from public life, David CRANDALL and his wife, and Robert HOPPER were converted, and baptized by Rev. Joseph Crandall in the Petitcodiac River, just above the old meeting house and received into the fellowship of the First Salisbury Church. This was nearly 60 years ago. Brother and sister Crandall raised a large family of sons and daughters. Mrs. Crandall's remains were laid away in the Springfield Cemetery.
