The residence of J.W. DAVIS, Springfield (Kings Co.) was the scene of an interesting event on eve. 27th. his daughter, Helen Alberta DAVIS being united in marriage to Chas. I. CAIN, Springfield. The ceremony was performed by J.D. WETMORE of Jemseg, brother-in-law of the bride, assisted by Rev. W.G. Corey of Springfield. The bride was attended by her cousin, Minnie B. COREY, St. John and her niece, Ethel F. DAVIS d/o Dr. E.N. DAVIS of St. John. the groom was supported by his brother, Fred A. CAIN of Johnston. The bride was the recipient of an elegant clock from the Baptist Church of which she was an organist.
