William STAFFORD, an old man who was working at the schr. "Clifton" at Morrison & Lawlor's wharf, York Point, received injuries yesterday afternoon which necessitated his removal to the hospital. Stafford was picking up coal on the wharf and was one of the coal tubs was swinging from a dump cart to the vessel, it struck him on the head. The blow knocked him overboard, but he was quickly rescued by a number of cartmen. When taken into a small office in the coal shed, it was found that he had been badly cut on the head and considerably bruised. Dr. Hetherington rendered medical assistance.
