A note from his nephew in Carrigans, Londonderry, Ireland, announces the death of Thomas ELDER of that place, brother of late Hon. Dr. ELDER, the former proprietor and editor of the 'Telegraph'. ...He came to Carrigans in 1845 from the neighborhood of Malin, in which Presbyterian church his father was for many years a ruling member and also conducted the psalmody. He was a brother of the late Hon. William ELDER, a member of the New Brunswick Legislature. ... We believe he was born in the neighborhood of Cardonagh, but has been for a long time in business at Carrigans. He was a member of the Monreagh Presbyterian Church. The interment takes place in Monreagh burial ground. (see original)
