An accident occurred at Amherst, N.S. yesterday. Stephen KENT, a laborer, aged about 40 years, was killed instantly by a blow on the head from a lever on a horse winch used in moving the late Robert McCULLY's office. The horse sprang suddenly and the gear snapped off. The lever struck Kent on the side of the head and dashed out his brains. D. DOUGLAS, Esq., narrowly escaped a similar fate, the fatal lever having touched his clothes. Kent leaves a wife and two children.
