There arrived on the American express this afternoon the remains of Jonathan SUTTON, who died at his sister's residence in Lowell, Mass. on the morn. May 30. Mr. Sutton, who was a native of St. John, has for about 25 years lived in the West. In his younger days he worked at the sail making business in this city and then went to the States and learned the mason's trade with his brother, John SUTTON, with whom he worked for a long time in Chicago, until he finally went into business for himself at Sioux City, where he had contracts for a number of splendid buildings. For some time past he visited annually St. John where he has a brother, George SUTTON and two sisters, Mrs. Duncan BROWN and Mrs. George MACE of Carleton. Mr. Sutton suffered for many years from a distressing malady and eventually it was the cause of his death. Besides his relatives mentioned above, Mr. Sutton, who never married, has three sisters and a brother living in the United States. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, being connected with a lodge in Chicago. The funeral will take place from the residence of his niece, 182 St. James Street, tomorrow afternoon.
