Eliphalet Reid SMITH, age 14, s/o Edward SMITH, Beech Hill (West. Co.) was in the woods with two of his brothers on Friday afternoon gunning. He asked an older brother, who carried a gun for it and on receiving it, the cock caught in the brother's coat and the contents of the gun were discharged in the inside of his leg above the knee. He was carried home and died Tuesday morn.
