Thursday last Dr. Dow held an inquest on the body of Owen McLAUGHLIN who was found at 5 o'clock on said morning lying on the floor dead, beside the bed from which she had fallen some time during the night. gentlemen of the jury: Thomas MORRIS, James FARRELL, John MOORE, John A. EDWARDS, John CARR, Thomas ROSS and William ELLIOTT. As a result of a post mortem, Drs Artherton and Coulthard gave it as their opinion that deceased came to her death through suffocation induced by the position of the body under the influence of alcohol.
