Halifax, N.S., March 28 - A despatch from Charlottetown, P.E.I. says: Hon. Charles YOUNG, Judge of Probate, died here this morn. after a fortnight's illness of influenza. He was a brother of late Sir William YOUNG and he was the first barrister in P.E.I. created a Queens Counsel. He was offered knighthood in 1858. He was an active member of the Methodist denomination and had from Newton College the honorary L.L.D. He married in 1838 Lucretia STARR d/o John STARR, Esq., Halifax, N.S.
