The late James PHILLIPS of Durham, England, who died 11th inst., made a will in 1873 bequeathing all his property to Thomas PHILLIPS, light house keeper at Escuminac Point (North. Co.) But Thos. Phillips died some time ago and, according to English law, his son, Henry W. PHILLIPS, gets the property, Thomas Phillips' widow getting nothing at all. Mr. Phillips has sent a power of attorney to a trustworthy person in England to act for him in the settling of estate.
