On Tuesday morn. last a tragic event took place in Westmorland that quite shocked the whole community. Theodore CLEVELAND, age 19 years, went into his father's barn and about forty minutes after he was discovered by his mother, who went out to look for him. - Hanging by a rope. He died by strangulation. A coroner's inquest was held on body by Ralph SIDDALL, Esq. The Jury were Geo. R. DIXON, foreman, Samuel F. WELLS, Alfred TINGLEY, William TINGLEY, Edward OULTON, John DIXON and William WELLS. Verdict - came to his death by his own act by hanfing from the neck while suffering under mental derangement on 28th day of August 1876.
