Hon. John COSTIGAN was born at St. Nicholas, P.Q. Feb. 1st, 1835 and received an education at St. Anne's. Removing shortly after graduation to this province he entered almost at once into public life. Among other employments he filled the office of registrar of deeds and judge of the inferior court of common pleas. In 1861 he was elected to the provincial house. (see original for political career)
