Joseph Avard McQUEEN is the youngest s/o of Hon. Angus McQUEEN who represented Westmorland for twelve years and who for a time was a memeber of the King-Fraser administration. J.A. McQueen was born Nov. 10th, 1862. He received his early education at the public schools and subsequently took a two year course at Mount Allison. For the last eight years, Mr. McQueen has conducted a large mercantile business at Point de Bute, his birthplace and where his father had carried on a business for 33 years. In thew future, his friends will find him located in Moncton where he has opened an office as general agent for the Confederation Life Association of Toronto. His first contest for political honors came in February 1891. On Oct. 7th, 1891 Mr. McQueen was united in marriage with Edessa CHAPMAN second d/o late M.K. CHAPMAN, shipowner of Dorchester.
