John RYAN of Bartibog was crushed to death Monday afternoon in the French Fort Quarry by a heavy stone falling upon him. Mr. Ryan was at work picking out stone when a large one became loosened above him and rolling down, struck him on the legs, crushing them badly. He died a few moments afterward - 'Advocate'
