William ALLAN, age 18, residing in Chatham (North. Co.) lost his life from on board schr "Sego" while on her passage from Newcastle to Chatham on Thursday. It appears that while adjusting a rope in connection with a boat towing at the stern, he was precipitated into the river and before any asistance could be rendered, was drowned. - Gleaner.
