Halifax 'Herald' - Thursday afternoon three men were drowned at Canaan Mountain while hoisting the gates of a driving dam in connection with Messrs Oliver Price & Co. steam mill, the bodies being recovered four hours afterward. The names of the men are John GILBERT, a native of West Brook, age 20, single; G.J. KEITH, a native of New Brunswick, single; H. STEWART, Pugwash, N.S., married with family.
