A letter from Capt. Joseph McDONALD of brig "Reata" reports that while on a recent passage from Georgetown to Honfleur, France in latitude 21 W., he lost one of the crew named Daniel GILLIS, supposed to belong to Rollo Bay. Gillis was a carpenter and worked at the building of the "Reata". He was swept overboard by the main gaff and was drowned before any assistance could be given. - Charlottetown, P.E.I. 'Examiner'
