Woodstock, May 22 - Joseph VANWART s/o Geo. VANWART, Sr. was instantly killed this forenoon at Tapley's Mills, about half way between here and Debec Junction by the freight train coming into Woodstock, Vanwart was at a mill alongside the track with his team for a load of lumber. His horses became frightened at the approaching train and dragged him on the track. He was struck by the locomotive and cut to pieces. Mr. Vanwart was married last Saturday to Miss WASHBURN of Fortfairfeild, Maine and only arrived home with his bride last eve. Dr. Connell is now holding an inquest.
