A sad accident occurred at Fairville yesterday by which Henry YOUNG of Carleton lost his life. He was employed on the C.P.R. and was engaged on a shifting train. He was going to switch when he stumbled into a culvert and could not get up quickly enough to avoid the train, which passed over him, injuring him frightfully about the body. He died in less than an hour. The deceased was at one time engaged in coasting, but gave it up a few years ago for railway work. He was of a quiet, unassuming disposition. He leaves a wife, the sister of Thomas J. BRONE of Carleton. The deceased was a member of the Carleton Baptist Church in which he was an energetic worker and for some time took the lead in the Sabbath school. Mrs. Young unfortunately was not at home yesterday, having gone to Westfield (Kings Co.) for a short stay.
