A despatch states that a horrible accident occurred on the Intercolonial near Amherst, N.S. on Saturday night. When Conductor Hughes' special from Springhill reached Painsec, a telegram awaited him saying that his train had killed a man. The name of victim was William LOVE, a stone mason working at Amherst, but belonging to Boston. (see original)
