Yesterday morn., Thomas BOWES, an old resident of Simonds Parish (St. John) and clerk of the parish for many years, was found dead on the path that leads from the Loch Lomond road to Golden Grove road. Mr. Bowes was in good health Tuesday and in attendance at the councillors' election in the parish. He started to walk home, taking a short cut across the fields. It is presumed that his death was due to heart disease.
