In the early part of last week, John BRENNAN, who resides at the Forks on Cain's River, a branch of S.W. Miramichi, met with a sad accident which will most likely prove fatal. He was engaged in hauling logs from the river with a yoke of oxen, when the animals ran against him, knocked him down, hauling the loga across his body, in which position he lay about half an hour before receiving any assistance. Both legs were broken above the knees. Mr. B. is nearly 70 years of age. Dr. J.S. Benson is attending the sufferer.
