drowned North Branch, Oromocto (Sunbury Co.) 26th ult., Samuel eldest s/o Joseph SMITH, Blissville, age 21. While engaged in stream driving with his father and two other persons and in passing lumber over a fall, he was thrown in by his handspike and the current swept him between a ledge of rocks and a body of logs. His funeral was attended on the Sabbath. He was baptized at age 10 by Elder Cronkhite. (see original)
