A fatal accident occurred at Petitcodiac (West. Co.) Monday morn. A young man, the son of George KNOWLES of that place, while intoxicated, attempted to jump on a passing sloven which was heavily loaded with ice. His feet slipped and he fell, the wheels of the sloven passing over his stomach causing heamorrhage. He died Sunday after intense suffering. Rev. Seely conducted the funeral services.
