The funeral of James BURNS, Portland (St. John) took place yesterday afternoon from new St. Peter's Church. Requim mass was celebrated by Fr. Urban, assisted by Fr. Bell. The pall bearers were: D.J. PURDY, Thomas BUCKLEY, John A. CHESLEY, John KELLY, George WARING, Wm McGUIRE. The remains were interred in the Roman Catholic cemetery.
