Occasionally we observe names familiar to us mentioned in press of the neighbouring Republic as worthy of passing notice. The other day among our exchanged we found the name of J.H. s/o C.L. RICHARDS of Greenwich (Kings Co.) as having after passing examination before the Board of Medical Officers, been appointed surgeon to the U.S. Steamship "Aroostock" now ordered to the seat of War. Mr. RICHARDS, who is a graduate of the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York has many friends in (St. John) city.
