An inquest was held in this Town 4th inst. before John Bedell Esq., Coroner, on view of the body of William COUGLE who was drowned in attempting to ride from Ingraham's Bar to the shore, upon a horse attached to Lewis SMITH's boat. The horse getting beyond his depth, he was thrown off and it is supposed was struck by the horse's foot, as he never rose to the surface. - Woodstock Journal
