Mrs. Elizabeth Worth WHITE, says Newburyport, Mass. despatch, is 100 years old, having been born in Passamaquoddy, N.B., Nov. 19, 1788. Her early life was spent at Amherst, N.S., but at 17 she returned to her native town and at 18 married Ferdinand WHITE. About 1850 the couple removed to Newburyport. Nine children blessed the union of the pair, all of whom lived to a good age, except one who died in her girlhood. Two daughters have died in Newburyport within the past two years, Mrs. Emily DOWNS, age 63 and Mrs. Jacobini DANIELS, age 61. The children were born at Amherst, N.S., all girls save one, John WHITE with whom the Centenarian resides. Mrs. White's husband was a well known Newburyport mechanic and died about 15 years ago, at an advanced age. There are six children living as follows: Mrs. Elizabeth WELLS, age 74, Newburyport; Mrs. Maria REED, 71, Amherst; Mrs. Sarah PORTER, 55, Amherst; Mrs. Eunice WHITTAKER, 62, Newburyport; Mrs. Jemima McCORMACK, 58, Cambridge and John White, 60, Newburyport. This aged lady has many grandchildren and more than a dozen great grandchildren. Mrs. White is about medium height, rather thin and with dark complexion. Her memory is slightly impaired. Her sight is poor and her hearing somewhat defective. She is quite smart and has a good appetite and is able to move about the house.
