d. Moncton road, Shediac Parish (West. Co.) 26th March, Capt. Sylvain BABINEAU, age 91 years 2 mos. 1 day, native of Petiticodiac and for a long time captain in the militia. At one time he offered for the House of Assembly in opposition Almand Landry, but was not elected. He had fifteen children of whom eleven survive, 114 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. His second wife survives him.
