A seaman named Daniel CHASE was lost overboard from steamer Eastern City while on her passage from Eastport to this place. The steamer was immediately stopped and the body picked up, but life was extinct, the man having come under the paddles which struck him on the back of the neck. He belonged to Massachusetts. - Nbkr.
