Mrs. James MILLER, relict of James MILLER, died here at the advanced age of 86 years. Her husband was known as Northumberland's Grammar School tecaher for nearly a quarter of a century, entering that duty in 1840. He was an elder in St. Andrew's Kirk for one third of a century and was also a zealous Sabbath School teacher during that time. He had no family and he accumulated wealth. He died in 1865. Since that time his widow has lived in Chatham and enjoyed in her own way the benefits of their early savings. By the will made in the 60's, a sister's son of this lady named KETTLE is the heir to all the property. No real estate was owned by them. The personality is valued at $12,000. No legacies were found in the will. The man who is the recipient of this property is already wealthy, having made his pile at the Cape of Good Hope, diamond prospecting.
