A horrible murder was committed at Windsor, N.S., Sunday 14thult. by Joseph BENNETT who stabbed Charles WILLIAMS with abutcher's knife which caused his death. The murderer immediately absconded. He is described as about 22 years ofage of Inddian extraction and part Negro and calls himself anative of New York. He had on a brown frock coat, cloth cap, and home spun trousers. A person answering this descriptionwas arrested in (St. John) city on Monday by Alderman Porter.He had worked his passage hither in a schooner from Annapolisand is now in confinement awaiting the arrival of persons deputed by authorities at Windsor to identify him.
