John O. PINEO, who died at his residence, Wolfville, N.S., March 2nd, age 86, s/o Erastus PINEO and nephew of late Dr. Obadiah PINEO of England, was born in Cornwallis is 1806. When quite a young man he was baptzied during an extensive revival which took place under the late Father Manning. His father died when he was quite a lad, leaving in his charge a mother and ten brothers and sisters, of whom only two survive George C. PINEO and Daniel PINEO of Cornwallis. His first wife was Latitia A. REID d/o Deacon Walter REID of Father Manning's church. She died in 1852. His second wife who survives him was Mary SHAW d/o William SHAW, Esq., Falmouth. He leaves seven children, four sons and three daughters - Richard E. PINEO of Tea Planters Company, New York; Joseph H. PINEO, Kingsport; Dr. James Forman PINEO, Chester; William S. PINEO, Wilmot; Mrs. R.V. JONES, Wolfville; Mrs. Wm N. McVICAR, Annapolis; and Mrs. James S. HARDING, St. John.
