St. Martins (St. John) Nov. 20 - Graves M. McCURDY, an Irih gentleman, who has been a resident of Australia for over 40 year, died Saturday 10:30 a.m. at St. Martins. Mr. McCurdy started five months ago from Australia to visit his brother, Alex. McCURDY who lives at St. Martins, leaving Samuel McCURDY, his nephew in charge of his business at Wood Point, Melbourne. Mr. McCurdy became ill while crossing the Pacific Ocean and never recovered althought the best medical skill was obtained. The deceased left an immence fortune to his brother Alex. The funeral took place Monday p.m., Rev. A.A. Slipper officiating at the house, church and grave. The pall bearers were J.S. TITUS, Crawford LOVE. Cudlip MILLER, jr., Samuel McCORMICK, W.J. MORROW and R.D. McA. MURRAY.
