Fairville (St. John) Jan. 23 - Last night Joseph COMPTON. 60 years old, while walking on the C.P.R. track from Fairville to his home in South Bay, was struck by a special freight and killed. When picked up it was found that the unforunate man had his chest crushed in and several ribs broken by coming in contact with a projecting stake on a wood car. Deceased leaves a wife and several children. An inquest will be held tomorrow.
