St. John, Feb. 3 - The dead body of Mrs. Margaret McCARTHY was found in one of the rooms of her house on Main Street about 8 o'clock last night. The neighbors had not noticed her about for a couple of days and at 8 o'clock informed police officer Burchill of the fact. Capt. Hastings and officer Burchill visited the house and broke in the door. They found the body of the woman in the inner bedroom of the floor dead. Coroner Berryman was notifed and at once visited the premises. He laid the body out on a sofa and locked the house up.
