The funeral of Samuel BABBITT, Esq. took place at 2:30 today and was largely attended. The service at the house were celebrated by Rev. Bill and Rev. M. Porter and at the grave by Rev. Bill. The pall bearers were Geo. E. FENETY, Geo. BOTSFORD, James S. BEEK, Andrew INCHES, John McDONALD, Judge STEADMAN. The chief mourners were Geo. N. BABBITT, John BABBITT and D. Lee BABBITT, son of the deceased; John V. ELLIS, A.F. RANDOLPH, James TIBBITTS and the staff of the People's Bank. The Lt. Gov. and members of the Government were present. The remains were interred in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton.
