Ald. John McMULKIN is an Irishman, having been born in County Fermanagh, Ireland 57 years ago. He came to St. John when a lad and began his career as a lad on a steamboat. After 25 years of service he retired, being then captain of the "May Queen". He is now in the wholesale and retail grocery business. Until elected for Lorne ward he had never served in any public capacity.
