John McANULTY, a native of St. John, has been in prison in San Francisco under the sentence of death for some time. Untiring efforts have been put forth by friends both in New Brunswck and California to save him, but it appears that he will suffer the death penalty on Friday, as the Governor of the state has refused to interfere with the carrying out of the law. This was McAnulty's last hope.
