A correspondent at New River, St. George Parish (Charlotte Co.) sends an account of a tragedy that has startled that usually quiet community. The victim was Thomas WARD, formerly a stage driver for Mr. BOONE and lived at New River, on the St. Andrews Road. The victim Ward was about 50 years old. He belongs to Charlotte Co.
